Msconfig (system configuration utility) replacement

Msconfig is part of Windows and allows you to disable startup programs, but it cannot be used to add or edit them.

You can run system configuration utility:
In Windows XP:
Go to Start > Run
Type MSCONFIG in the "Open:" box and then click on the OK button.
In Windows Vista/7:
Click on the Vista/7 start icon in the bottom left corner of your screen.
Type MSCONFIG in the search box and then press enter on your keyboard.
